The newly developed hepatitis C treatment regime is proving to be extremely successful, with complete clearance of virus for all finalised programmes thus far. This has been associated with a marked improvement in energy levels and general feeling of good health for those people who are participating.
Despite the expense to the government of this programme, it is pleasing that an extensive vision for health has been realised, as eradication of this virus will eliminate many long-term complications including hepatic cancer and the need for liver transplant.
